A man indecently exposed himself to a 17-year-old girl near Preston Park.
The teenager noticed the man following her as she was walking home along Clermont Road, Brighton.
He did not approach her but after a while he exposed himself.
The girl was talking to a friend on her mobile at the time and the man ran off when she shouted that she was on the phone to the police.
The incident happened between 10pm and 11pm on Monday 18 November.
Sussex Police have released an e-fit of the man, who is described as white, in his forties or fifties, about 5’8″ and of medium build.
He was wearing a light grey hoodie with no zip and a pair of dark trousers.
PC Joanna Omoyinmi said; “This was a very upsetting late night experience for the victim, who had the presence of mind to distract the man and clearly caused him to flee.
“If you recognise him, we would like to hear from you.”
