Bournemouth 1 Brighton & Hove Albion 1
The Albion drew in Dorset courtesy of a second-half wonder goal from Ashley Barnes.
The hosts were on top for long periods of the first half and it was Matt Ritchie who blasted a free-kick past Tomasz Kuszczak with half an hour gone.
Ritchie was instrumental for the Cherries in the first half. Kuszczak had to push away another goal-bound effort from him before half time.
Albion’s best efforts before the interval came from Inigo Calderon and Barnes.
Early in the second half Kuszczak made another crucial save from Ritchie, then Barnes, receiving the ball on the edge of the area, turned and lashed a shot into the top corner, to put Albion level.
Albion old boys Steve Cook and Tommy Elphick looked determined to put the Cherries back in front, with Cook heading wide from just inside the area.
Brett Pitman spurned a good chance for the hosts with 20 minutes left and before the end Ritchie had another chance to see off Albion but shot wide.
Albion entertain managerless Barnsley at the Amex on Tuesday evening (3 December).
