The Albion got back to winning ways with an impressive victory at the Keepmoat Stadium.
An unchanged team to that which drew with Watford overcame ex-Albion forward Paul Dickov’s Rovers team.
On just seven minutes young Albion midfielder Jake Forster-Caskey picked up the ball in midfield and unleashed a swerving, dipping shot that flew into the net from fully 35 yards and put Albion in front.
Albion let Doncaster back into the game in the second half but it was not until the last 15 minutes that Doncaster equalised through local boy Chris Brown.
With eight minutes left substitute Leroy Lita stabbed the ball home for his first Albion goal to put the Seagulls 2-1 in front.
Although it appeared that Albion may have had a nervy last few minutes, this was dispelled when fellow substitute David Lopez scored from a superb 20-yard free kick with a minute left to put the Seagulls 3-1 in front.
Albion face Blackburn Rovers next Saturday at the Amex.
