An 18-year-old suffered a broken ankle and several other injuries after a brutal attack outside a club in Brighton.
The victim was attacked outside Lola Lo’s in East Street, Brighton, by a man who punched him to the ground.
The teenager, from Seaford, banged his head on the ground. His attacker then repeatedly jumped on his legs, breaking his ankle in three places.
He also punched him in the face and body leaving him with bruising to his body, lumps on his head, a black eye and a swollen lip.
Sussex Police said: “A 19-year-old friend from Seaford who was with him was also punched and suffered a jaw injury during the incident at 2.30am on (Tuesday) 9 July.
“CCTV footage shows a group of people in East Street who appear to notice the assault taking place and officers are keen to speak to each of them.”
Detective Constable Paul Candy said: “This was a nasty assault which has left the victim with a badly broken ankle which required a major operation and will leave him with a long recovery.
“There were a lot of people in the street when it happened and it is clear from CCTV footage that many saw it happen but may have not realised the seriousness of the victim’s injuries.
“I would appeal for anyone who saw the incident or who knows anything about the assault to come forward.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Sussex Police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
