The man suspected of murdering Albanian scaffolder Xhem Krasniqi in Hove seven weeks ago has been remanded in custody until Friday (12 July).
Edmund Nela, 31, appeared before Brighton magistrates today (Wednesday 10 July) to face a charge of murder, two charges of attempted murder and one count of having a firearm.
He was extradited from Italy yesterday (Tuesday 9 July) and arrived at Gatwick Airport yesterday evening from where he was taken to Brighton by Sussex Police.
Nela, who is unemployed and of no fixed address, is due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on Friday.
He was arrested in Milan last month and is suspected of shooting Mr Krasniqi dead in Church Road, Hove, with a single shot from a pistol on Saturday 18 May.
