A 24-year-old man needed hospital treatment after being attacked in Brighton after a night out with friends.
The victim was on his way home in the early hours of yesterday morning (Friday 7 June) when he was attacked after an argument in Queen’s Road at about 3.30am.
Sussex Police said that the victim, who comes from Haywards Heath, was hit while he was on the ground.
The man, who was wearing a red t-shirt, suffered a 4in cut to the back of his head which required hospital treatment.
A police spokesman said: “A 19-year-old man from Brighton was arrested on suspicion of (assault) causing grievous bodily harm and he remains in custody.”
