A man wanted for recall to prison is believed to be in the Brighton area, Sussex Police said.
The force said that Keenan James, 27, was wanted for breaching the terms of his release licence.
He was described as a 5ft 11in tall white man of medium build.
James was jailed for two and a half years for trying to pervert the course of justice. He was sent to prison at Hove Crown Court on Thursday 15 March last year.
Sussex Police said that was believed to be in the Brighton area but was not believed to be a direct physical threat to members of the public.
