The A27 eastbound was shut for an hour after four vehicles crashed at the end of the rush hour this morning (Friday 26 April).
A transporter, a lorry, a van and a car crashed on the Hangleton section of the Brighton bypass at about 8.45am.
Sussex Police said: “A road traffic collision involving four vehicles caused two lanes on the A27, in Hangleton, Hove, to be closed for around an hour this morning.
“Police were called to the eastbound carriageway at 8.45am following reports that a lorry, van, car “and transporter vehicle had collided with one another.”
The force said that no one was injured in the crash and that the road was cleared by the Highways Agency shortly before 10am.
