A man who went missing two years ago has been spotted recently in Brighton, police believe.
They are asking for help to trace David Thompson, 42, who left his home on the Welsh island of Anglesey on Wednesday 22 September 2010.
He said that he was heading to Southampton to try to find work on cruise ships. His family and friends have not seen or heard from him since.
But recently there have been sightings of Mr Thompson in Brighton and officers believe that he may be living in the Brighton area.
Sussex Police and North Wales Police have asked that Mr Thompson or anyone who knows his whereabouts to get in touch.
They described him as white, 6ft tall, of medium build, with green eyes and a fair complexion.
When he went missing his dark brown hair was cropped short and he was clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket and denim trousers.
Wynne Lane, from North Wales Police, said: “It has been over two years since David was last seen. However, recently there have been reported sightings of him in Brighton.
“We, along with David’s family, are keen to verify the sightings and want to know that David is safe and well.
“He hasn’t been in touch with family members or friends for a significant amount of time and there is concern for his welfare.
“We urge him to please come forward and let us know that he is ok.”
Anyone who can help is asked to call North Wales Police on 101 or 0300 330 0101.
