A man was arrested after a siege in Brighton last night (Monday 4 February) on suspicion of committing firearms offences.
Sussex Police said that officers closed the roads around Preston Circus in Brighton for about an hour after receiving reports of a man with a gun in flat in London Road.
The force said: “The call was made at 7.30pm and officers closed the roads in the area while a 30-year-old man was detained.
“He has been arrested for firearms offences and remains in custody this evening.
“No one was injured in the incident and Sussex Police would like to thank people for their patience while the roads were closed.”
