Charlton Athletic 2 Brighton & Hove Albion 2
The Seagulls won a share of the points in south-east London this afternoon, twice coming from behind.
The Addicks took the lead after just ten minutes when Lawrie Wilson headed in a corner.
It was 20 years to the day that Charlton moved back to the Valley after a six-year absence in the late 80s and 90s.
This was commemorated by spontaneous applause on exactly seven minutes from the Addicks fans.
Charlton could have doubled their lead but for a good save by Thomas Kuszczak from Rob Hulse.
Craig Mackail-Smith levelled for Albion on 28 minutes and the teams went in all square at half time.
Albion were by far the dominant side in the second half but Charlton went back in front after a great counterattacking goal from Bradley Pritchard. His weak shot will have disappointed Kuszczak as it trickled past him.
Stephen Dobbie and Will Buckley both had good chances for the Seagulls before substitute Kazenga LuaLua fired in a 20-yard free kick over the Charlton wall to put the Seagulls level again.
Before the end Ashley Barnes, also on as a sub, had a clear chance from a free header but the Seagulls will be happy with another away point.
