City College Brighton and Hove rewarded its best students at an annual awards ceremony on Tuesday 25 October.
Thirty-five prizes were given out in areas as diverse as catering, carpentry, business, music and hairdressing.
There were also special awards for Outstanding Employer Contribution, Golden Alumni and City Achiever of the Year.
Principal Lynn Thackway said: “This was my first City Achievers awards night as principal and it was so inspiring to hear the stories of what these young people have achieved, often against the odds.”
City Achievers 2012 was held at the Amex Community Stadium and hosted by Juice 107.2‘s Guy Lloyd.
City College Brighton and Hove is one of the top ten colleges in the country for results. It is the highest achieving further education college in Sussex in courses for 16 to 18-year-olds.
