Blackpool 1 Brighton & Hove Albion 1
The Albion failed to win for the sixth time in a row as they battled for a point at Bloomfield Road.
The Seagulls may have been fortunate to come away with a point, as The Tangerines dominated large parts of the contest. Polish International goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak had to be at his very best.
Brightonian Adam El Abd was also in inspired form, at least twice denying Thomas Ince a clear goal scoring opportunity.
Ashley Barnes, the under fire striker, put the Albion in front just before the hour mark, after a huge mix up in the Blackpool defence.
Barnes had a simple tap in after Blackpool keeper , Gilks lost control of the ball.
It was all Blackpool after this, Kuszczak again made great saves from Baptiste and Phillips.
However the big Pole could do nothing about a bullet header from Elliot Grandin, which put Blackpool level with twenty minutes to play.
Grandin then had a long range drive pawed away by Kuszczak minutes later.
Craig Mackail-Smith had an overhead kick turned away by Gilks , after good work by Buckley in the last few minutes.
Gus Poyet will be happy with the point, but perhaps, not the performance.
