A 21-year-old man was stabbed in the back at the Shakedown Festival in Stanmer Park, Brighton, last night (Saturday 6 October).
Sussex Police said that the 21-year-old local man was stabbed at about 9.30pm in the main arena near the medical tent.
The victim suffered a stab wound to his back and wsa still in hospital today (Sunday 7 October). His injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.
Detective Sergeant Duncan Elliott, of Brighton and Hove CID, said: “We are working to piece together exactly what happened during this incident and are working to identify the offender or offenders.
“Shakedown Festival was very busy at the time of the incident and I would appeal for anyone who saw it take place or anyone who has information about who carried out the stabbing to contact us.”
