Sussex Police said that an appeal on Crimewatch last night for the whereabouts of murder suspect Ricardo Pisano had led to a number of interesting leads.
The appeal on the BBC TV programme included a £5,000 reward for the arrest of Pisano in relation to the murder of Michael Polding in Brighton earlier this year.
Pisano calls himself Ree or Ricky and also goes by the name Brandon Pillay.
DCI Nick May, from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, said: “There was a good response with 17 calls coming into the Crimewatch studio and a number of calls to Crimestoppers.
“There were some interesting calls from people in areas where we know he has links.
“We will be prioritising the leads.”
Anyone with information about Mr Pisano’s location was asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
