Watford 0 Brighton & Hove Albion 1
Brighton & Hove Albion continued their recent great form, at Vicarage Road on Tuesday evening, with a 1-0 win over Watford.
It was Watford who dominated the early play, with former Albion striker Chris Iwelumo, going close for the home side in the first few minutes.
However the Hornets failed to capitalize from all their possession and the Seagulls clawed their way back into the game.
It wasn’t until the second half however, that the match sprung to life.
Just after half time , Watford defender Pudil, hacked down Craig Mackail-Smith, and the inform Albion striker duly despatched the penalty awarded by referee Darren Drysdale.
Dean Hammond had as many clear cut chances as he did disallowed goals against Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night, and Will Buckley had a good game against his former club.
The Albion had to hold on towards the end as Pudil and Hogg both had chances to score and Hogg also had a good shout for a penalty.
This win leaves the Albion third in the Championship, level on points with Blackpool in second place
