Gus Poyet has signed right back Bruno Saltor from Valencia on a free transfer.
The 31-year-old Catalan defender is joining Brighton and Hove Albion on a two-year deal, having passed a medical at the Amex this afternoon (Monday 25 June).
Saltor played 17 games for the La Liga side last season, including two Europa League matches against Stoke City.
He played alongside Vicente Rodriguez at the Spanish club and many fans will be hoping to see them together in blue and white in the coming season.
Poyet said: “Bruno has a great amount of top-level experience in La Liga, the Champions League and the Europa League, and to bring a player of his quality is a coup for us.
“He will give us competition at right back, along with Inigo Calderon, and the pair of them give us great options in that position.”
