The new Hollingdean skate park is on schedule to open on Sunday 1 July at the T in the Park Festival.
The festival runs from 11am to 4pm with the official opening of the skate park at 1pm.
Work started in Hollingdean Park last month on the £75,000 skate park with contractor Bendcrete liaising with the youngsters who contributed ideas for the design.
Local teenagers also raised £14,800 towards the spray concrete skate park off Brentwood Road and Lynchet Close, having put their case to other young people from the Youth Capital Fund.
They have been supported by community development worker Liz Lee who has kept a record of their progress on the Hollingdean News Online website.
Youngsters have been working for four years towards replacing the old skate park.
It had just three ramps, wasn’t as close to the main park and suffered from vandalism.
It was popular with local youths although many of them have been using skate parks in Hove Lagoon and Shoreham recently.
