A Hove community group is taking part in Clean Up Day tomorrow (Saturday 12 May) along part of Kingsway, the seafront road, and at the Lagoon.
The Kingsway and West Hove Residents Association (KAWHRA) volunteers will be rolling up their sleeves from 9.30am to midday.
Other residents groups are taking part in the day by cleaning up Wish Park and Stoneham Park in Hove.
Keep Britain Tidy and Brighton and Hove City Council have sponsored the clean ups and is providing litter picking tools, bags for the rubbish that is collected and graffiti remover.
Mike Sharman, from KAWHRA, said: “Keep Britain Tidy vests will be provided. You can stay for as long as you like and whole families can join in – it should be great fun.”
KAWHRA members are also invited to hear Portzed developer share the latest news about the project at St Leonard’s Church Hall in Glebe Villas from 7pm to 9pm next Friday (18 May).
And the following Tuesday (22 May) the association is holding its annual general meeting (AGM) at 7.30pm, also in St Leonard’s Church Hall.
