A man was attacked in Portslade yesterday (Wednesday 25 April) and taken to hospital with a head injury.
Sussex Police said that the 59-year-old local man was in Victoria Park when the attack happened.
He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment.
Detective Sergeant Steve Warner, from Brighton and Hove CID, said: “Unfortunately the victim has been unable to provide us with any clear descriptions of his attackers or the events leading up to the assault.
“He remains in hospital in a stable condition and we are appealing for anyone who was in Victoria Park at around 10am yesterday and witnessed any suspicious activity to please call 101.”
