Albion’s Spanish superstar has suggested he would be delighted to come back next season. But will need to discuss the situation with Gus Poyet, Tony Bloom and of course his family .
His partner is expecting the couples second child in June and they will be returning to Spain, once the English season finishes.
Albion take on play-off bound Birmingham City this afternoon. The Blues visit Brighton & Hove for the first time since 1996.
Gordon Greer will miss the match, and is likely to be pipped at the post by Liam Bridcutt as the fans player of the season.
Gus Poyet could opt to start with Goalkeeper Casper Ankergren who hasn’t started a match since December. The big Dane is out of contract at the end of the season.
