A 14-year-old boy from Brighton appeared in court today charged with killing Woodingdean teenager Connor Saunders.
The accused boy appeared at Brighton Youth Court this afternoon charged with manslaughter.
He was bailed until next Tuesday (24 April) and must remain in the care of Brighton and Hove City Council but outside the city.
He was told that he is not allowed to enter Woodingdean, Rottingdean or Peacehaven either.
Three weeks later, on Tuesday 15 May, he is expected to be committed for trial at a crown court.
He was charged after the death of Connor Saunders, 19, a plasterer and footballer from Downsway, Woodingdean.
Connor died on Sunday after a blow to the head on Saturday night (14 April) which is believed to have happened during a fight in West Street, Rottingdean.
Two other boys from Brighton – a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old – were arrested on suspicion of murder and have been released on police bail until Tuesday 8 May.
