The organisers of the Kemptown Carnival have put out an appeal for volunteers.
They are looking for a stage manager, sound assistant, production runner, crew assistant and someone to liaise with performers as well as parade marshalls and bucket shakers.
Helpers are also needed for the event break-down team when the carnival is over on Saturday 9 June.
They said: “The carnival relies on a team of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers who are vital in enabling the carnival to run smoothly and be something that its tens of thousands of attendants remember forever.
“This is a great chance to gain an insight into event management and community development.”
The latest carnival fundraiser – an alien-themed fancy dress 1950s-style prom night – takes place at Concorde 2 in Brighton from 11pm on Friday (20 April). Tickets are £5 in advance.
