Gus Poyet reflected on Fabrice Muamba this morning, saying that he hoped the player makes a full recovery.
The Albion boss shared the widespread concern for the Bolton player as the Albion travelled south on Saturday evening.
He went on to say: “Sometimes we go crazy if we lose a game. There are much much more important things.”
Looking forward to the visit of Derby County to the Amex tomorrow evening, Poyet hopes that Spanish playmaker Vicente Rodriguez will be available to start the match.
Abdul Razak may also be in contention. Poyet indicated there was no problem with the young Manchester City loan signing even though he hasn’t featured in the past two games.
Gary Dicker and Marcos Painter are also in contention for tomorrow night. As are all 23 fit players. “No one is completely out of contention,” according to the Seagulls boss.
Poyet told Brighton and Hove News that he would like to start a game with Sam Vokes and Craig Mackail-Smith up front together before the end of the season, at least once.
Peter Brezovan is likely to keep his place in the team tomorrow although third choice keeper David Gonzalez may get more involved towards the end of the season if Albion were to perhaps slip out of the play-off picture.
Poyet said that although the team underperformed against Blackpool they will train the same way in preparation for Derby. He said that he was confident of a good result if the Seagulls played to their full potential.
