Liam Bridcutt told Brighton and Hove News this week that at the moment he is more focused on his defensive duties and trying to control matches than scoring one of his spectacular goals.
The player described by some as the best defensive midfielder in the Football League did, however, admit that if he had an opportunity in and around the opponents’ penalty area he would take it.
Bridcutt told me that he would concentrate on helping the team with his extra defensive duties and hoped that this would enable the players further forward to put the ball in the net.
The Albion take on Leicester today at the Amex in what looks like being a chilly encounter, with the possibility of snow arriving from the west later on in the afternoon.
We will endeavour to keep you updated with the action as it happens via Twitter and here at Brighton and Hove News.
