An elderly pedestrian was seriously hurt after being hit by a taxi in Hove at the weekend.
The 85-year-old local woman was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton after the accident which happened at about 7pm on Saturday evening (1 October).
She was hit at the junction of Western Road, Hove, and Cambridge Road by a Volkswagen Passat driven by a 43-year-old local man.
At the Royal Sussex she was treated for serious leg and body injuries. Her condition was described as serious but not life-threatening.
The taxi driver, who had no passengers at the time of the accident, was unhurt.
