Treasure hunters took to the streets of Brighton searching for clues hidden in QR codes.
QR codes are black and white square images read by smartphones, leading the user to websites.
The event was part of Brighton Digital Festival, with teams following treasure maps in the search for codes hidden in various local businesses.
Marie Murphy of the Brighton Treasure Hunt Company and Georgie St Clair of Sodaworks organised the event over the weekend of September 24-25, which was a first for Brighton.
During the hunt points were given for reading clues correctly with bonus available for additional extras such as photographing people with brightly coloured hair.
The family friendly event was completely sold out.
Similar hunts have taken place in America but relatively unknown in the UK.
