By Tim Hodges from The Amex Press Briefing
At this morning’s press briefing at the Amex, Albion boss Gus Poyet suggested visiting teams had as much desire to win at the Amex as they would if they were playing at Barcelona or even Manchester United at Old Trafford.
He said it was great for players to win at stadiums such as this.
The Albion boss also said that he was surprised Lewis Dunk had not been selected for the England Under 21 squad.
It is likely that Romain Vincelot will be out for up to four weeks but both Adam El Abd and Tommy Elphick will return to full training in mid September possibly at the same time.
Steve Cook is ready and able, according to Poyet, if required on Saturday.
And the Albion manager may have a quick chat with record signing Craig Mackail-Smith about the opposition.
The briefing concluded with Poyet saying that he was confident about the prospect of bringing in another striker.
