Two teenagers were treated in hospital after a fight on Brighton seafront.
Four people have been arrested.
Sussex Police said that officers were called to the Lower Promenade opposite the bottom of West Street at 4.40am today (Thursday 28 July) after reports of a number of people fighting there.
The group was dispersing as police arrived.
A 19-year old man from Crawley and a 17-year old boy were taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
The 19-year old has cuts to his body and has since been discharged from hospital.
The 17-year old has cuts and bruising and is still in hospital but is expected to be discharged soon.
Both have been arrested on suspicion of affray.
Two other men, a 21-year old from the West Midlands and a 22-year old from Southwick, were arrested in Ship Street by officers searching the area.
They are being held in custody on suspicion of assault causing grevious bodily harm.
Detective Sergeant Helen Paine said: “We would like to hear from anyone who was in the seafront area at about 4.30 this morning and saw what happened.”
