The bodies of two men were pulled from the sea in Brighton this afternoon in separate incidents.
The first body was seen in the water about 150 yards east of Brighton Marina at about 3.20pm.
The second was spotted floating in the sea at about 5.15pm on the other side of the marina, near Portland Place in Kemp Town.
Sussex Police said that the local coastguard helped to recover the first body which appeared to have been in the water for some time.
Members of the public brought the second body ashore and paramedics tried to resuscitate the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
