A man carrying a knife robbed another man in Brighton, stealing a bag containing cash.
The robbery happened in The Avenue, Moulsecoomb, as the victim was walking towards the post office.
As the attacker approached his victim he asked for the time.
And as the victim looked at his watch, the mugger grabbed his Asda carrier bag containing cash, punched him in the face and ran off towards Hillside.
Detective Constable Robin Aspin said: “The victim has been left shaken after being attacked in broad daylight.
“It is thought the suspect may have been loitering near the post office prior to the robbery.
“If you were in the area at the time and remember seeing any suspicious behaviour, contact police immediately.”
The suspect was described as a white man, aged 20 to 30 years old, of medium build and with dark stubble.
He was wearing a light grey hooded top with a large “H” logo on the front and side pockets.
