The RNLI Brighton lifeboat towed a yacht to safety early today after the vessel suffered an engine failure.
The lifeboat crew towed the stricken 39ft yacht into Brighton Marina shortly after midnight.
The two-man crew of the yacht called for help late last night and were quickly located by the lifeboat crew.
Once they had established that both people on the yacht were safe and well, the lifeboat crew attached a line and towed the yacht to the visitors mooring in the marina.
The rescue was carried out in fair visibility and calm conditions, with a smooth sea and a westerly wind force 1 to 2.
