Two Brighton men were robbed at knifepoint by a gang of youths this morning (Friday 13 May).
The two men, aged 19 and 20, handed over their phones and wallets after being threatened by the teenage gang in the early hours.
They were approached by about eight youngsters near the church in Carden Avenue, Brighton.
One of the gang asked the victims for the time then the two men were surrounded.
One of the gang had a knife and said: “Give me your phone and wallets or I’ll cut your face.”
The gang ran off towards Warmdene Close after the attack which happened at about 1.40am.
Sussex Police said that the suspect with the knife was white, aged about 17, 5ft 11in tall, of slim build with dark blond hair and a fringe down to his eyebrows.
He was wearing a baseball cap hidden underneath a grey hooded top.
The suspect who asked for the time is described as black, aged 16, around 5ft 5in tall, of small build and with short shaven black hair.
He was wearing a light blue hooded top with the hood covering his head and a grey and black Adidas T-shirt and white trainers.
The other suspects were all wearing hooded tops.
