Traffic jams followed a relatively minor car crash on the Braypool slip road in Patcham during the rush-hour this morning (Tuesday 19 April).
Sussex Police said that officers were called to the junction of the A23 and A27 Brighton bypass just before 8am after two cars collided.
The eastbound slip road as it joins the A27 and one lane of the bypass were closed for almost an hour after the accident.
Both drivers – a man and a woman – were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
On the other side of the road a lorry broke down where the bypass skirts Coldean.
One lane of the A27 westbound was blocked between the A270 Lewes Road turn-off at Falmer and Moulsecoomb, opposite Stanmer Park, and the Hollingbury junction.
