A robber stole a money box from a post office security guard in Hove yesterday morning (Tuesday 1 March).
He snatched the box from the guard as he walked into the post office in Portland Road at about 10.25am.
The thief was chased along Portland Road then Westbourne Gardens by the security guard before the suspect got into a car driven by another man.
The car made off at speed south along Westbourne Gardens.
Detective Sergeant Duncan Elliott said: “The security guard has been left with minor injuries after struggling to hold on to the money box.
“I am keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the robbery or saw the car making off at speed.”
The suspect is described as white, in his twenties, 5ft 10in, slim, wearing a grey hooded top and black jeans.
No weapon was used during the robbery.
