A young Spanish man was robbed at knifepoint on Brighton seafront.
Muggers stole the 21-year-old’s iPhone and wallet as he was walking alone towards the Palace Pier along the lower promenade.
As he was passing the stretch of promenade across the road from the Oceana night club two men came up to him.
One of the men pushed a sharp object, which felt like a knife, against the victim’s back.
The other man went through the victim’s pockets and stole his iPhone and wallet.
The wallet was later recovered but cash and credit cards were missing.
The muggers – both white men – made off in the direction of the West Pier after the robbery which happened at about 3am on Sunday (13 February).
Detective Constable Caroline Biggs said: “Officers are viewing CCTV in the area and I
am keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone behaving suspiciously in the area.”
