A third man is being held in prison to await trial after being accused of the murder of Craig Palmer in a Brighton squat just over three weeks ago.
Bartlomiej Szostek, 27, who is homeless, was brought before Brighton magistrates and remanded in custody until tomorrow (Tuesday 8 February) when he is due to appear at Lewes Crown Court.
Mr Palmer’s body was found at the squat in a four-storey house in Russell Square, Brighton, on Saturday 15 January.
Two other homeless men, John Battams, 40, and Mike Zur, 28, have also been charged with Mr Palmer’s murder.
They are also in prison awaiting trial and are next due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on Friday 8 April.
Mr Szostek was re-arrested by officers from Sussex Police and charged on Friday (4 February) and appeared in court on Saturday (5 February).
Post-mortem tests indicate that Mr Palmer, who was also homeless, died from head injuries.
