A group of Brighton students is planning another demonstration.
The latest demo is due to take place outside a Brighton University building as lecturers contemplate strike action.
Students are expected to gather outside the Cockcroft building in Lewes Road, Moulsecoomb, at noon tomorrow (Wednesday 2 December) to show their backing for the University and College Union (UCU).
A group called Brighton Students Against Cuts said that the UCU was holding a ballot with a view to going on strike.
The student group’s protest is also against the privatisation of higher education.
It said: “We must defend the pay, pensions and conditions of university staff – and our university education.”
And it added: “It would be great to see as many of you there as possible.
“We’d appreciate it if any staff could inform students in lectures/seminars/tutorials.”
The group’s next organisational meeting is due to be held tomorrow evening after the demonstration.
It has been scheduled for 6.30pm in Room G7, Pavilion Parade, Brighton.
