Two men and a boy have been arrested after a 20-year-old man was mugged near the Royal Pavilion in the early hours of this morning.
The victim, who comes from Brighton, was approached by three people as he waited at a bus stop opposite the Pavilion near the bottom of North Street at about 1.10am.
They snatched his wallet, mobile phone and iPod and ran off.
The victim was unhurt.
Shortly afterwards officers from Sussex Police arrested two men, aged 19 and 20, and a boy, 17, at an address near by on suspicion of carrying out the street robbery.
The stolen property was recovered.
All three remain in custody for interview this afternoon.
Detective Sergeant Chris Sherwell said: “We are keen to trace anyone who saw what happened.
“The area outside the Pavilion is still busy at that time of night and anyone who can help is asked to contact us via 0845 6070999.”
