Line-up announced for Brighton's Great Escape festival

Friendly Fires have been announced as the first headline act for the Great Escape festival in Brighton.

The dance-punk band are the first big act confirmed for the May event, which has developed a widespread reputation for showcasing new talent.

Among the up-and-coming groups also announced are Warpaint, Katy B and Villagers.

The festival takes place in venues across Brighton from Thursday May 12 to Saturday May 14. More acts are expected to be announced in the next few weeks. Tickets are on sale through the Great Escape website.
