Rock star Nick Cave has been offered driver training after he crashed his Jaguar into a speed camera on Hove seafront.
The Australian-born singer, 53, who lives in Hove, was made the offer by Sussex Police as an alternative to facing prosecution for the smash in Kingsway on December 7.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “The driver was voluntarily interviewed by police and a decision was made to offer him a place on a driver improvement scheme as an alternative to prosecution.”
No other vehicles were involved in the crash and Cave was not arrested. The musician, who is the frontman of Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, walked away from the crash unharmed along with his twin 10-year-old sons, who were also in the car.
