An 18-year-old was knocked unconscious during a fight on New Year’s Day in Brighton.
He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Eastern Road, Brighton, with head injuries.
Three men have been arrested by Sussex Police on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm (GBH).
The incident happened when two groups of men fought in King’s Road, Brighton, at about 4.10am on New Year’s Day.
The arrested men are a 19-year-old from Potters Bar in Hertfordshire, an 18-year-old from London and a 20-year-old from Barnet, Hertfordshire.
The suspect from Barnet was also arrested on suspicion of having cocaine, a class A drug.
All three suspects have been released on police bail until Saturday 5 February pending further inquiries.
