Christmas tree recycling sites in Brighton and Hove will open from Monday 3 January.
Last year local residents recycled a record number of Christmas trees, ensuring that they were composted rather than ending up in landfill sites.
Brighton and Hove City Council’s Christmas tree recycling sites will be open at the following locations until Monday 31 January.

The sites are in the following locations
Brighton
Bevendean – opposite the shops in Upper Bevendean Avenue by the recycling point
Coldean Lane – opposite Park Road
Dyke Road Avenue – Hazeldene Meads
East Brighton Park – in the car park in Wilson Avenue
Hollingbury Park – Ditchling Road, north entrance opposite Woodbourne Avenue
Ladies Mile Road – behind the clock tower at the junction with Mackie Avenue
Mackie Avenue/Plainfields Avenue – playing field opposite shops
Montpelier Crescent – opposite shops
Preston Park – next to the recycling site in Preston Drove
Queen’s Park – by the Pepper Pot at the north end
The Level – behind recycling point in Union Road
Upper Bedford Street – by Hampshire Court on the corner of Upper St James’s Street
Hove
Brunswick Square – inside the gardens at the Western Road entrance
Hove Museum – in the rear gardens in the north west corner
Hove Park – end of Orchard Road
St Ann’s Well Gardens – Nizells Avenue
Wish Park – in Wish Road in the north east corner of the park by the playground
Hangleton Park – on the left-hand side from the Lark Hill/Park Rise entrance
Portslade
Easthill Park – Millcross Road entrance
Victoria Recreation Ground – in Victoria Road on the west side of the car park
Saltdean
Saltdean Lido – car park

Central Park – in Lockwood Crescent in the corner opposite the recycling point
Happy Valley Car Park – in Falmer Road on the left-hand side of the entrance barrier opposite Crescent Drive South.
Anyone wishing to recycle their tree before Monday 3 January can take it to the green waste section at the city’s household waste recycling centres off Wilson Avenue, Brighton, and Old Shoreham Road, Hove.
