Heather Mills may have closed her Hove vegan restaurant VBites for the winter – but she still believes it could become bigger than McDonald’s.
The restaurant, by Hove Lagoon, earned mixed reviews when it opened July 2009, and in September this year it closed its doors, to concentrate on “staff training, recipe development and VBites franchising”.
And it seems those plans are aiming high. This week, she told the Daily Express: “In 10 years there will be more VBites restaurants than McDonald’s. It’s the future. We’ve been using the time when the cafe has closed for brainstorming.
“VBites has been phenomenally successful this year.”
She added: “Everyone loves the food, even carnivores. Plans for it to become a franchise are very much on.”
The woman is completely deluded…
