A parking survey has been delivered to hundreds of homes as part of a campaign to improve the present regime.
The Liberal Democrats said that every home in Brunswick and Adelaide ward had received a copy of the survey.
It asks residents how easy it is to park near their homes, according to the Brunswick Blog.
The Lib Dems want Brighton and Hove City Council to review the controlled parking zone for the first time in several years.
They have also suggested improvements such as the creation of 24-hour residential parking bays, mixed parking bays on the seafront and more loading bays to help traders.
They also want to see more bike racks to make it easier for cyclists to secure their bicycles in the ward.
Paul Elgood, one of the Lib Dem councillors for Brunswick and Adelaide, said: “It is now some years since the parking zones here were reviewed here.
“We wanted to give residents a chance to have their say.”
Councillor Elgood added: “Residents can find it difficult to park close to their homes, especially in the evenings.
“The council could be doing more to help improve parking provision locally and this survey will help us make the case for improvements.”
Another round of taxation….
