The trailer for the remake of Brighton Rock has been released.
The remake – like the Graham Greene book and the 1947 film starring Richard Attenborough – is set in Brighton.
But the date has changed with the remake set in the 1960s, in the era of mods and rockers, rather than in the 1930s.
It features Sam Riley in the starring role as Pinkie Brown and Helen Mirren as Ida Arnold. The cast also includes John Hurt and Andy Serkis as well as hundreds of extras, many of them recruited locally.
Filming took place last year from mid October to early November in Brighton and Eastbourne.
The film is due for general release on Friday 4 February.
