Staff from a Brighton supermarket gave their customers a fright by dressing up in ghoulish Halloween costumes to raise money for charity.
The staff, who work at Sainsbury’s in New England Street, also raffled a Halloween themed cake to raise funds for the Rockinghorse children’s charity.
Lucy Kilshaw, from Sainsbury’s, said: “The benefit of helping a local charity is that the end results are there for us to see and, though we hope it won’t come to it, for our children to use.
“As a company I feel it is our duty to give something back.
“And while our fundraising efforts were fun, on a more serious note, I hope it will also lead to other businesses supporting the charity.”
Ria Wilson, corporate fundraiser for Rockinghorse, said: “We’re so grateful to Sainsbury’s for their fantastic fundraising ideas.
“We’re always on the lookout for companies to get involved, so please get in touch if you can help.”
