Two protesters have been arrested after they glued themselves to the doors of a bank in the centre of Brighton.
The pair carried out their protest at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) branch in Castle Square at the bottom of North Street, Brighton.
It happened on the same day as the Smash EDO protest last week – just after 3pm on Wednesday 13 October.
They glued one hand each to the door frame and linked their free hands to form a human barrier.
Detective Constable Rex Petty said: “The protesters’ barrier prevented people leaving and disrupted the work of the bank, upsetting both staff and customers.
“The pair left after a customer barged past the couple, who unwittingly caused the protesters’ skin to be left on the door frame.
“I am keen to trace this man, as he may be able to provide further evidence.
“Anyone who was in the bank at the time of the offence who has yet to speak to us is urged to come forward.”
Two people were arrested two hours later at Brighton Station in relation to the offence.
They were held on suspicion of aggravated trespass and criminal damage.
The arrested pair are a man from Manchester, aged 27, and a woman of 22 of no fixed address.
They have been released on police bail until Thursday 11 November.
