Expect some clowning around at the annual Rockinghorse ball in November.
The sick children’s charity has adopted a “big top” theme for the fundraising event which is being held at the Hilton Brighton Metropole on Saturday 20 November.

The Rockinghorse Circus Ball starts with a drinks reception at 6.30pm followed by a three-course dinner.
Entertainment includes fairground games, dodgems, circus performers – including a clown – and a live set from a high-profile DJ.
There will also be an auction of “money can’t buy” lots.
Allie Preiss, marketing and events manager for Rockinghorse, said: “Last year’s Alice in Wonderland themed ball raised an enormous £62,000 for sick children across the region and this year we’re hoping the Circus Ball will be bigger and better than ever.
“It promises to be a fantastic night and a great excuse to dress up in your best finery.
“Tickets are now on sale, so please get in touch and show your support for one of the most fun charity bashes of the year.”
Rockinghorse is widely associated with the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital but also helps fund other work with sick and disabled children from its Brighton base and across Sussex and Surrey.
This year’s ball is being sponsored by Skerritts, the Hove firm of financial advisers.
To book tickets for the ball, contact Allie on 01273 730286 or visit the Rockinghorse website.
Tickets cost £85 a person, with tables seating ten people.
