A man was stabbed near Brighton Station and robbed of his passport early yesterday morning (Sunday 26 September).
The 20-year-old man, from Burgess Hill, was stabbed in the face and arm with a bottle in Frederick Place, Brighton.
He suffered injuries to his left arm, right ear and face and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Eastern Road, Brighton, for treatment.
His injuries were described as “not life threatening”.
The victim was approached in the street by the robber who stole his passport.
The robber ran off and the victim headed towards Brighton Station.
The victim saw his attacker again and tried to talk to him.
The robber then stabbed him with a bottle.
The suspect is described as black, aged in his early 20s, 5ft 7in to 5ft 9in tall and with short dark afro style hair.
He was thought to be wearing a dark hooded top, dark trousers and dark trainers.
